Bob Tiger
Bob Tiger is a tiger and the chief executive of The Walt Deersney Corporation, the company that owns Deersneyland. He originates in Zootopia 2, where he fronts a television weather segment, and makes his first appearance in We Can Fix Pawbert in the W-Series, walking out of a staff corridor at the park exit to thank Luther for a phone call.
Background
Before the corporation, Bob Tiger was a weatherman, the face of a broadcast called "The Weather with Bob Tiger," a line from which Nick can still recite years later. He moved from the weather desk into broadcast operations and then to the network itself, and when the network was folded into The Walt Deersney Corporation he came with it and rose to the top of the company. He is tall, going silver at the temples, and wears a navy blazer with an open collar to the park.
Personality
He is warm without performing it, and he does his own thanking. The pack's day was arranged through one phone call to his office, and he chooses to walk out and close it in person. He asks a wolf which ride he liked best and means the question, and when the answer turns out to be about everyone finding each other at the end, the corporate edges leave his smile. He takes a guide's commendation seriously enough to walk her off with him.
Series History
W-Series
In "Deersneyland II" he intercepts the pack on their way to the exit, asking for Agent Pawthorne by name. Nick places him out of a decade nobody expected, and Bob Tiger gives him the career in one breath before adding his current title. He has come out personally to thank Luther for his call, and in doing so he tells Nick what Luther never would have: that Luther phoned the office months earlier, personally, and arranged the guided tour, the Club 33 table, the Fantasmic seats and the night at the Grand Floridian, because his pack brother's birthday deserved to be done properly. He lets the silence that follows run its course, asks Luther for his favorite ride, and calls the answer the best he has heard to that question. When Nick tells him that Faline, the guide whose boat stranded them for an hour, ran it like a trained negotiator and has earned a guide's equivalent of a medal, he says so noted and takes her with him back through the staff corridor.
Key Relationships
Luther Pawthorne
Luther called his office once, personally, and Bob Tiger's staff verified it. The CEO knows him as Agent Pawthorne, shakes his paw the way Luther shakes a director's, and wants to know what the wolf thought of the park.
Faline
She is a first-assignment guide whose name reaches him through a fox's commendation, and he takes her with him when he leaves. What happens to her after the corridor door closes is not on the page.
Nick Wilde
Nick remembers him as a weatherman with a catchphrase, and Bob Tiger is the mammal who, without meaning to, hands Nick the fact that the whole day was a gift.
Trivia
- "The Weather with Bob Tiger" and the line Nick quotes come from the weather broadcast in Zootopia 2 (2025).
