Daisy Grant
Daisy Grant is a springbok and the press officer attached to Zootopia's Department of External Relations delegation. She is introduced in the W-Series, traveling to Vladifrostok with the delegation in "Diplomatic Immunity".
Background
Daisy handles what the delegation says in public and what gets printed about it. DER's agreed line on this trip is that the party includes mammals who worked Zootopia's crisis response, with the specifics kept out of print, so a foreign paper naming one of them and inventing a title for him is her problem to manage.
Personality
She works fast and she works ahead. By the time she reaches a door she has already drafted and discarded several statements in her head, and she carries the evidence with her rather than describing it: an armful of newspapers, credentials still swinging from the run down the corridor.
Series History
W-Series
Daisy appears once in "Diplomatic Immunity", rounding the corner behind Nadine early one morning with an armful of Gazettes, after the Vladifrostok Novaya Gazette prints Nick as a senior strategic advisor and a key architect of Zootopia's crisis response. She says nothing while Nadine works through the article line by line. On the way out she leaves a copy on the cot, face up, and follows her chief of staff into the corridor.
Key Relationships
Nadine Tolliver
Daisy arrives with Nadine and leaves with her, and lets the chief of staff do the talking. The one thing she contributes to the scene is the newspaper itself, put down where Nick cannot avoid reading it again.
Nick Wilde
Nick's embellishment at a reception is the press problem Daisy has to manage, and she manages it by making sure he sees it in print.
