Renny
Renny is a ring-tailed lemur and a musician in We Can Fix Pawbert. Part of Pawbert's Snarlbucks social circle, he joined the group at one of the Watering Hole nights about eight months before the events of Season 5, and first appears in "Pattern Recognition".
Background
Renny is a musician and originally a friend of Lane's, brought into Pawbert's circle at one of the Watering Hole nights roughly eight months before the Icener crisis. He is an established part of Pawbert's social world alongside Lane, Brim, Selma, Tara, and Mika. It was Renny who caught Pawbert watching him tune up one night, tracking every adjustment, and read him instantly as another musician — "You play," not a question. Pawbert had not touched an electric guitar since before everything fell apart; Renny simply shrugged and offered up a spare amp that was collecting dust. An electric guitar and amp now live in the library at Pawthorne Mansion, and some nights Pawbert plays until his paws remember what his mind forgot.
Series History
Season 5
Renny first appears in "Pattern Recognition", arriving at the Snarlbucks corner booth guitar case first, headphones around his neck, with a gig at The Watering Hole coming up the following month. He works on lyrics at the table while the rest of the group catches up, and is one of the newer members of Pawbert's circle, a friend of Lane's to begin with who came into the group at a Watering Hole night some eight months earlier — the proof, as Pawbert sees it that afternoon, that he can still make new connections.
In "Departure", Renny attends the gathering at Pawthorne Mansion. He finds the piano in the corner of the living room, works his way from experimental notes to actually playing, and provides the music the party settles into.
In "Climate Control", Renny works the Meadowlands Community Center gymnasium during the weather wall crisis, setting up rows of cots in the back while the rest of the Snarlbucks crew runs the intake, supplies and play area around him.
Renny attends the double wedding in "Always", arriving with an instrument case and his paw linked with Mika's. He is also with the Snarlbucks group at Mika's rebuilt studio above Zen Noodle, where they gather to paint together.

Pawbert Pawthorne
Renny is part of the wider circle of friends Pawbert built after his release — people who know him as a person, not as a case file or a Lynxley. Recognizing Pawbert as a musician, and handing over a spare amp so he could be one again, gave him something that had nothing to do with either the professional or the traumatic.
Mika
By the wedding in "Always", Renny and Mika are together, arriving with their paws linked — a couple formed inside the friend group rather than around Pawbert.
Snarlbucks Crew
Renny is part of the social group that includes Lane, Brim, Mika, Tara, and Selma — the friend circle that formed around Pawbert's time working at Snarlbucks and continued well beyond it.
