The Corkboard
The Corkboard is a small wooden-framed display board where Pawbert pins meaningful items — cards, photos, and mementos that represent his connections to others. Originally purchased by Nick during S01, it has traveled with Pawbert through multiple locations and serves as physical proof that he has people who stayed.

A small wooden-framed corkboard, approximately the size of a pizza box. Each item pinned to the board represents someone who chose to stay in Pawbert's life.

Two items that spent years on the board have since moved. Lillian's recipe card — the first thing Pawbert ever pinned to it — went into a kitchen drawer at the mansion in "Unboxed" so he could reach it while cooking, and Charles's napkin was framed and hung on the kitchen wall by "The Job".
History
Season 1
The corkboard is purchased by Nick at a thrift store during a shopping trip in "Home". He offers it without ceremony: "Your room. You'll want somewhere to put things." Pawbert, who has only ever owned what his father permitted him to own, protests that he has nothing to put on it, and Nick's answer is that this is true only for now. That evening Pawbert measures the empty board against the wall above his nightstand and drives the nail himself, which commits him to staying in the room long enough for the nail to matter.
Location changes in S01:
- "Home" through "Stay": Pawbert's room at the safehouse (above nightstand)
- "Station 118": First items pinned — recipe card and Maddie's card

- "Soft Launch": Corkboard moves to living room wall when Pawbert starts sleeping in Luther's room

Season 2
The corkboard stays on the living room wall at Site Two through the year Pawbert spends out of prison, and it survives the siege that wrecks the rest of the room. New items are added:
- "The Audit": Squad Pawlaroid from Jake added
- "Last Day": Judy unpins the collection item by item, wrapping each piece in tissue paper before it goes into the box, until nothing is left on the wall but pin holes; everything is logged into ZCF property storage in "Clean Slate"
Season 4
The original board stays behind at Site Two. After Pawbert's release, Luther fetches a different corkboard from somewhere in the mansion — dusty, unused for years — and the two of them mount it on the bedroom wall near the closet in "Unboxed". Pawbert pins the recovered items in order: Maddie's card, then Charles's napkin, then the Pawlaroid.
Season 5
The board is on the living room wall when the pack has houseguests — Holt studies it there in "The Job", and Nick and Judy talk in front of it during the send-off in "Departure". In the final scene of the series it is back on the bedroom wall near the closet, Maddie's card and the Pawlaroid still pinned to it.
Significance
The Corkboard represents:
- Evidence of Connection: Each item proves someone chose to stay
- Potential: A bare board is a claim about the future, that there will be things worth keeping
- Memory Preservation: Physical reminders that can be touched and seen
- Growth Tracking: The accumulation of items mirrors Pawbert's expanding circle

Current Status
The corkboard is mounted on the wall in the master bedroom at Pawthorne Mansion. Items continue to be added as meaningful moments occur.
