Wedding Rings
The Wedding Rings are worn by all four pack members following the double wedding in "Always". Luther and Pawbert's rings are engraved with "Stay" — the word that defined their relationship from the beginning.

The Proposal (S05E23)
Luther proposes to Pawbert in "Golden Again", with a florist's help and an extremely detailed Pinfurrest board he initially claims never to have made. The ring is silver and simple, with an engraving inside too small to read at a distance: "Stay" — the promise Luther made in "Stay", now made permanent. Pawbert, still processing, cannot get past the Pinfurrest board; Luther's answer is that for him, he made one.
"Stay" Significance
The word "Stay" carries profound meaning in the series:
- Stay: Luther promises Pawbert he's staying; first use of the word as commitment
- STAY Notebook: Pawbert's journal counter-scripting Milton's "you're dead"
- Throughout: "Stay" becomes shorthand for choosing presence over abandonment
- Wedding Rings: The word engraved inside, worn daily
The rings transform a verbal promise into a physical constant.
Nick and Judy's Rings
The Proposal (S05E23)
Nick proposes to Judy on the last morning of their vacation in Los Zangeles, days before Luther's own proposal comes to light. The planned version involved dinner, a beach at sunset and a bribed musician; what happens instead is Nick kneeling beside a hotel bed with his paws shaking. Judy's engagement ring is a purple amethyst set in silver, flanked by tiny diamonds, sized months in advance with Fru Fru's help. There is a second band in the box, rose gold, sized for Nick, and Judy is the one whose paws are not shaking by the time she slides it onto his finger.
Partnership Symbolism
Nick and Judy's relationship predates the series (established in Zootopia and Zootopia 2), and their rings formalize a partnership that had already been tested long before the wedding.
The Double Wedding (S05E24)
The pack marries in a double ceremony at Zootopia World Celebration Gardens, officiated by Winddancer under an arch of purple irises and white roses. The ceremony represents the culmination of the series' central themes:
- Found family becoming legal family
- Promises made permanent
- The pack's bond formalized
The series ends with Luther and Pawbert asleep in their bedroom at Pawthorne Mansion — the green sweater draped over a chair, watching over them.
Significance
The wedding rings represent:
- "Stay" Made Permanent: Luther's promise, now engraved and worn daily
- Pack as Family: Four individuals legally bound to each other
- Series Resolution: The happy ending earned through five seasons of growth
- Name Change: Pawbert takes Luther's surname, becoming "Pawbert Pawthorne"
