9-1-1 is the procedural drama behind the Station 118 crossover characters in We Can Fix Pawbert. Created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear, it premiered on Fox in 2018 and moved to ABC from its seventh season, following Los Angeles firefighters, police officers, paramedics and dispatchers.

Overview

In We Can Fix Pawbert, the 9-1-1 characters are reimagined as firefighters and first responders at Station 118, a ZFD station, with Athena Grant on the ZPD side. The 118 turns up on the worst days of the series — a burning office building, a substation bombing, the Rainforest District fire, and the night Luther is brought into surgery — and the crossover keeps the source show's emphasis on a crew that functions as a family.

Season 1: Station 118 (S01E10)

  • "Station 118" — The 118 works a burning office building where the pack has gone in after a Lynxley accountant's records. At the firehouse afterward Maddie takes Pawbert out to the balcony and tells him her own story, then catches him on the sidewalk as the pack leaves and presses a card into his paw; he pins it beside his mother's recipe card the same night

Season 2: Collateral (S02E07)

  • "Collateral" — An explosion tears through the Tundratown-Sahara Power Substation. Maddie loses a caller on the dispatch line, Bobby rules out equipment failure and walks Pawbert in under escort, and Athena runs the perimeter; eight substation workers are killed and twelve injured

Season 5: Inferno (S05E16)

  • "Inferno" — The 118 works the Rainforest District fire. Nick asks where Bobby is, and Athena is the one who has to answer: he died six months earlier in a lab containment breach, having given the single dose of antidote to Chimney because Maddie was pregnant

Season 5: Final Position / Complacency (S05E21-22)

  • "Final Position" — Chimney, Eddie, Buck and Hen stage with the medical units at the rear of the assault on Reptile Ravine, while Athena brings up additional ZPD support and anchors the western push
  • "Complacency" — The 118 runs Luther's trauma transport into the hospital, Hen bagging him and calling injuries, Eddie ready to restart compressions, Buck steadying the stretcher and Chimney riding it to manage the line. Hen is still in the corridor two hours past the end of her own shift, waiting with the pack while Luther is in surgery

Season 5: The Wedding (S05E24)

  • "Always" — Station 118 arrives first at the double wedding — Athena, Buck, Hen and her wife Karen, Chimney and Maddie, and Eddie — and Athena finds Reacher's team at the bar to tell them Bobby could never turn it off either

W-Series

  • "Nighthowler" — Chimney's crew runs the modified antidote out to the field where Luther has gone down; Hen gives the injection, Eddie holds him steady, and Buck brings the stretcher
