Harold Ferrick
Harold Ferrick is a ferret and a low-level money courier for the Lynxley Network in We Can Fix Pawbert. Hiding out in a Savanna Central motel and paying cash, he sends word that he will cooperate, but only with officers of Precinct 99, on the reasoning that they are too weird to be corrupt. What he trades is the existence of "the Reserve," the slush fund that pays the network's fixers.

Background
Ferrick handled cash drops between the network's legitimate businesses and its offshore accounts. He never got past the front gate at Lynxley Manor, which by Pawbert's account is what Milton did with a mammal who talked too much: pickups and drop-offs, watched the whole time. The runs still taught him the shape of the money, including the existence of a slush fund known as the Reserve.
Personality
Ferrick is jumpy, street-smart, and a better judge of mammals than his rank suggests. He knows the Lynxley network owns pieces of the institutions that are supposed to protect him, and his answer is to pick the precinct nobody would think worth buying. He picks his own venues too: a diner booth with a clear view of the door, chosen so he can leave, and he refuses to be moved indoors until Holt has earned it. The instinct proves sound, and the reason he trusts Holt in particular is that the elephant strikes him as too boring to lie.

S01E11 "Precinct 99"
Ferrick surfaces in Precinct 99's territory and goes to ground at the Sunset Motor Lodge, paying cash and expecting to be killed. He is willing to trade, but only with that precinct, and Holt relays his reasoning to the briefing room without comment. Because the ferret also keeps to a diner called Breakfast at Night, Jake makes contact there, sitting down across from him and putting Oxbow's name on the table to show how much the team already knows.
Ferrick talks in the booth. The Reserve is twenty million, maybe more, and it covers everything the family keeps off the books: bribes, cleanup, fixers. Milton had final approval; Cattrick built it, picked the accounts and structured the payments. The ledger page Ferrick carries is written in a shorthand nobody at the table can read until Pawbert takes it and recognizes his father's household accounting system, which he was made to audit at twelve. Only once Holt says plainly that the rest of this conversation gets couriers killed in front of plate glass does Ferrick agree to finish it at the precinct.
In a windowless conference room he gives up the fixer designations: Brushfire, Coldsnap, Undertow. He never met them and never saw a face; he moved the money. Then he supplies the link that turns a codename into a case, telling the room that Brushfire invoiced the Reserve at a rush rate the day after the fire at Perry Stackwell's office. He is moved into protective custody at the end of the night. All three fixers are in custody by "Stay": Coldsnap out of Sterling Pebbleworth's color-coded client records, Undertow traced through the Reserve disbursements, and Brushfire taken at a ferry terminal boarding under an alias after the accelerant signature and the Reserve ledger agreed on a name.

Ferrick's trust in Precinct 99 rests on their reputation for being strange rather than clean, which he treats as the more reliable of the two. His insistence on working with nobody else is what pulls the precinct into the Lynxley investigation at all.
The Lynxley Network
Ferrick worked at the bottom of the network, moving money without being told what it bought. That did not keep him ignorant. He knew the fund, the coding system, and the rhythm of the payments, which is enough to convict mammals he never met and enough to get him killed.
