Grizzoli attends the joint ZSI-ZPD briefing for the Meridian Shipping warehouse raid. He settles into his chair with the easy confidence of someone who has done this before and asks Luther directly about the identity of the operatives they are dealing with. During the operation, Grizzoli covers the east side of the warehouse perimeter with his partner. When a sable tries to scale the fence, Grizzoli intercepts with clean, professional technique---paw on the collar, twist, ground, cuff.

S05E21 "Final Position"

Grizzoli participates in the final assault on Icener's position, loading magazines with practiced efficiency during pre-operation staging. During the assault, he takes a round to the leg while providing cover fire outside the lighthouse. He goes down behind a BearCat, cursing steadily while applying pressure to the wound, insisting it is "just a scratch." Though wounded, he survives the operation.

S05E22 "Complacency"

Grizzoli is present in the Precinct 1 bullpen, still on light duty from his leg wound, when Chief Bogo promotes Nick to Detective. Grizzoli howls in celebration alongside his fellow officers.
