When Luther immediately attempts to discharge himself against medical advice, Bailey threatens sedation and informs him that two weeks of bed rest is the minimum requirement. She has the measure of her patient from the start: "He's been difficult." When Reacher notes this, she responds simply: "He's been Luther."

In S05E22 "Complacency", Dr. Bailey returns when Luther arrives at the emergency bay following the events at The Root. Later, when Luther predictably resumes his attempts to escape the hospital, Bailey remains unmoved.
