Zootopia General Hospital is the primary medical facility in Zootopia, serving as the city's main trauma center. The hospital plays a critical role in treating injured characters throughout the series, most notably Luther after life-threatening injuries.

Zootopia General is a full-service hospital equipped to handle everything from routine medical care to emergency trauma surgery. The facility includes:

Dr. Miranda Bailey

Dr. Bailey is a trauma surgeon who has treated Luther twice, two and a half years apart, and remembers him both times:

"Incoming": Luther is admitted to the secure wing after a building collapse during a ZSI operation, with three broken ribs, a Grade 2 concussion, extensive spinal bruising and lacerations requiring sutures. No surgery is required. Bailey orders two weeks of bed rest, reports that he has already tried to discharge himself twice, and warns that the next attempt will involve sedation; he signs himself out against medical advice the same day.

"Complacency": Following Luther's near-fatal injuries at the lighthouse in Reptile Ravine, Bailey operates for five hours. Luther codes twice on the operating table, and Bailey brings him back both times. Her damage report: four broken ribs, one of which had been hiding, a gunshot wound that missed the femoral artery by an inch, trachea contusions from strangulation, and internal bleeding from blunt force trauma to the abdomen, repaired in surgery.

"Station 118"

Perry Stackwell is treated at Zootopia General after being rescued from his burning office. From his hospital bed he agrees to cooperate, telling Luther and Judy that the network tried to kill him after promising him protection.

"Collateral"

Survivors of the Tundratown-Sahara Power Substation bombing are transported to Zootopia General, and the pack works the emergency department taking witness statements from mammals who were inside when the charges went off.

"The Crown" and "Aftermath"

Pawbert is brought in by ambulance after being shot, and Luther, Nick and Judy wait out the surgery in the surgical waiting room. He wakes in recovery the next morning and is cleared for discharge.

"Incoming"

Luther is admitted to the secure wing after a two-story command post collapses on him during a ZSI operation. No surgery is required, and after arguing with Dr. Bailey he signs himself out the same day. The recovery that follows is what prompts Nick to announce The Chart.

"Strike"

Chief Bogo is brought in after the bombing that kills three officers, and the surgical wing becomes a gathering point for a precinct in shock. Pawbert spends the wait sitting beside Clawhauser, who has not spoken since he arrived.

"Complacency"

The episode opens with the Station 118 crew rushing Luther into the emergency bay, Hen calling his injuries to the trauma team as they run:

• Through-and-through gunshot wound to the right thigh
• At least three rib fractures in the field count, four once Bailey has him open
• Facial lacerations
• Throat contusions consistent with strangulation
• Internal bleeding, with blood pressure dropping

He had already coded once in the field and codes again two minutes out. Hen's RapidVet-H test gives Bailey the blood type she needs to have four units waiting.

Pawbert waits in the surgical waiting room without moving, his eyes fixed on the doors at the end of the corridor, while Nick and Judy sit with him in silence and Hen stays on past the end of her shift. After five hours of surgery and Luther coding twice on the table, Bailey emerges to confirm he will survive.
