Season 5

Roskova is captured during the joint ZSI-ZPD raid on the Sovfrost Shipping warehouse in "Soft Target". She puts a cougar through a shelf and drops a jaguar on her way to the loading bay, and it takes Luther, Shaw and two more agents to bring her down, which establishes her as command-level and physically formidable. During interrogation at ZSI she sits silent for twenty minutes, then offers a single sentence, a cold warning that ZSI has no idea what is already in place. Her transport convoy is ambushed on an industrial access road that same night; her own people blow the rear door, cut her restraints and are gone in ninety seconds, leaving agents Cackwell and Tuftridge wounded behind them. Costa concludes she let herself be taken, spending under three hours inside ZSI to map its procedures, its faces and how fast it moves.

Roskova resurfaces throughout the crisis. She is spotted at a Tundratown warehouse in "Traceback" and outruns the pursuit into an evening market crowd, then takes an order by phone to accelerate the installation schedule and increase counter-surveillance. That plan does not survive the following day. In "Fieldwork", after ZSI takes the Hyenahurst staging area and traces the Canal District relay in real time, she strikes both off her map, abandons every staging area within two districts of either site and moves the inventory to the tertiary caches missing from Yevgeni's property list — accepting weeks of installation delay on the grounds that it will slow ZSI's momentum by more, and telling her lieutenant that they won a battle but the war is still hers. The only thing she accelerates is Icener's arrival, which she moves up to within the week.

In "The Network" she reports to Icener by encrypted radio as the MV Frost Crown crosses toward the city, warning that ZSI is learning their protocols faster than expected. She meets him in person on the Grizzly Falls summit in "Misdirection" with all eighty operatives accounted for and no casualties on the ascent, briefs him at the Tundratown safehouse on eighty-three percent coverage across fifty-six stations, and after the citywide weather wall attack passes his stand-down order to the network under the authorization code "Aurora." In "Climate Control" she stands at his shoulder watching ZNN's coverage of the exodus and takes his instruction to hold the next phase back while the city thinks it has time to breathe. During the assault on the Frostbite Processing plant in "The Message" she brings him word that ZSI is hitting the command center and warns that a full activation will drain their reserve; he orders it anyway, to make ZSI choose between the plant and the city. Afterward she reports the losses — the command center gone, twenty-six captured, the surface network destroyed — and gives his deeper objective its name: The Root. He sends her to find him a target.

As the campaign escalates, Roskova begins to show signs of doubt. In "Inferno", she reports the Rainforest District fire results to Icener — two hundred eighty-one dead, significant infrastructure damage — and when he orders the destruction of ZSI headquarters, she notes it is a heavily fortified target requiring significant forces. Icener commits them without hesitation. Watching him plan that strike in "All Paws", she finds the conviction she carried across the ocean slipping, and starts to wonder whether she recognizes the mammal leading it anymore. She delivers the casualty report that night — thirty dead, including Commanders Vostokoff, Dreykov and Oksana — and confronts him directly, telling him they came to save their people and force Zootopia to help them, and instead threw those people away for one building. When she asks how many more they will spend, Icener answers "As many as it takes." She says nothing, turns and leaves, and only as she walks away does real doubt reach her face for the first time since Vladifrostok.

In "Tundratown Requiem", Roskova personally commands the Reptile Ravine assault — the real target behind the Tundratown feint — directing teams to search every building for Agnes's documentation and The Root codes. Her forces massacre civilians including a gecko child and an old tortoise. When Luther reaches the Ravine and encounters her at close range, both fire and miss before Roskova charges using her polar bear mass. She disarms Luther and gets a paw around his throat, nearly killing him, but Luther bites through her tactical sleeve forcing her to release him. He scrambles for his dropped weapon and fires two shots center mass. For one moment, something like professional respect passes between them before she falls — the polar bear who was always one step ahead, finally stopped.
