Maris Pawthorne

Maris Pawthorne is a gray wolf and the mother of Luther Pawthorne in We Can Fix Pawbert. Introduced in S04E04, Maris is sharp, directly loving, and fiercely protective. She represents everything Milton Lynxley was not as a parent—using her wealth and influence to protect rather than to control.

When Luther came out, the Pawthornes' response was immediate acceptance.

During the press siege (E11), Maris deploys what becomes known as "the Pawthorne claws"—using her connections and directness to shut down media harassment of her son and Pawbert. Her statement to the press: "The public has a right to truth. Not to your cruelty." To Pawbert, she offers full acceptance: "You make our son happy. That makes you ours. The paperwork is optional."

She organizes Luther's birthday celebration (E19), complete with traditional chocolate cake. For Pawbert's birthday (E24), she makes Lillian's cinnamon rolls—a gesture acknowledging the mother Pawbert lost by honoring her legacy. Her first words to Pawbert that day: "We missed the first twenty-seven. We're not missing any more."

Season 5

Before the double wedding (E24), Maris sends Pawbert down the aisle with: "Now. Go marry my son."
