"Touch Grass" is the twenty-second episode of the W-Series. After their overseas vacation went catastrophically sideways ("Coup"), the pack books a domestic glamping weekend in the Marshlands, where they encounter Nibbles, Russ, and Jesús for the first time since the events of Zootopia 2.
Synopsis
The pack's attempt at a low-stakes weekend close to home turns into a reunion with Marsh Market's most memorable residents. The glamping site's staff can't pitch the tents, Nick's dormant camping skills betray his complaints, Luther launches an ice-water revenge operation, and the Marshlands receives Pawbert with a grace nobody narrates and everybody feels.
Plot
At the kitchen table, Judy pitches a glamping trip to the Marshlands, using an ad whose slogan reads "touch grass." Nick lobbies for Deersneyland. He is outvoted. Luther says two words: book it.
They arrive to find all digit-and-hoof staff out with a flu. The remaining flippered staff — sea lions and walruses — have the equipment laid out at the campsite but cannot assemble any of it. A sea lion named Chonkers cheerfully informs the pack that assembly is a "you situation." The assigned site is Site 2, a designation that lands differently for Nick; the last time those words meant anything to this pack, they were hiding in one.
Tent assembly becomes a comedy of roles. Luther assigns sectors, reads the laminated manual with field-briefing precision, and sorts the poles by color code. Pawbert produces a charcuterie instead of helping. Judy, farm-raised, provides the geometry. Nick complains about Deersneyland while tying perfect clove hitches from muscle memory — his Junior Ranger Scout training surfacing despite his best efforts to suppress it. Judy catches it. Nick denies it. His paws do it again.
Nibbles appears at the next campsite. She hugs the pack, greets Luther as someone she met at the wedding, and plows ahead into conspiracy theories without pausing for breath.
Friday night brings mosquitoes. Luther deploys ZSI-issued field-grade insect repellent to the tent fabric without washing his paws afterward, a decision whose consequences he and Pawbert agree to never speak of again. Saturday morning, Nick steals Luther's clothes from the communal bathhouse. Luther walks back to camp in a washcloth with absolute composure, then sprints on foot to a convenience store for a bag of ice. Fifteen minutes later, he asks the otter cubs in line whether there's a fox in the shower, and pours the ice water over the partition. The cubs' laughter carries across the campground.
Nibbles takes the pack to the dock, where she summons Russ by ringing a bell. The extended "Hey Bub" greeting ritual between the beaver and the walrus leaves Luther and Pawbert bewildered; Nick, who has seen it before, watches them with a knowing grin. Russ recognizes Nick and Judy with a walrus hug. He has no idea who Pawbert is — just a friend of Nibbles, which is all he needs to know. After the fish payment, Russ resurfaces as a ferry. When Nibbles tells him both couples are married, Russ activates the fairy lights and plays "Bella Notte." Pawbert's composure breaks — the only moment all weekend. Luther takes his paw. Nick and Judy watch from the front seats, seeing their husbands receive the same gift they were given years ago.
The pack tours Marsh Market by ferry and then on foot through a neighborhood that has transformed since Zootopia 2 — aquatic mammals and reptiles living side by side, families on porches, music drifting between stilted buildings. At the Reptile Hangout, now an open community bar inside the same sunken shipwreck, Jesús pulls his signature grub prank on Luther and Pawbert. Luther eats two. Pawbert manages one. Nick and Judy, who went through the same initiation years ago, say nothing. The conversation that follows is about fish, marshmallows, and Nibbles's podcast. The Lynxley name never comes up.
Saturday evening at the campfire, Nibbles renews her standing offer for Pawbert to appear on her podcast "Scales and Tales of the Weird," a callback to their earliest interactions. Pawbert laughs warmly. Nibbles throws away one serious line — that they almost lost this place, a couple of times — and pivots immediately back to a marshmallow conspiracy. Pawbert squeezes her paw. She squeezes back.
In the tents, Nick admits to Judy that he had a good time, then pulls out his Junior Ranger Scout patch — brought it without telling anyone, held it at a campsite for the first time since he was a kit. Judy's paw closes around it. From the other tent, Luther kills a mosquito and reports: got it.
Sunday, they pack out, Nibbles gives Pawbert homemade marshmallows, and Russ says goodbye with a final "Bub." Back at the mansion, Pawbert says he had a wonderful time. Nick is caught humming "Bella Notte."

The episode's thesis is that the simple, natural world is enough — forget the churros and the climate control, the Marshlands turned out to be wonderful. Nick spent the entire weekend lobbying for Deersneyland, and the credit song is from a Deersneyland attraction. Nick got the bare necessities of Deersneyland after all, just not the way he planned.
