Background
Gnashton operates as part of Clawrence's paramilitary organization, which conducts coordinated attacks on Zootopia's weather wall infrastructure. He appears to serve in a tactical capacity alongside Javier Croft and Briggs.
Series History
Season 2
S02E16 "The Wall"
Gnashton appears in the episode's closing scene, motionless in the passenger seat of a surveillance vehicle parked two hundred yards from Site Two, his eyes on the street. He and Briggs accompany Javier Croft, who has been tracking the pack's movements.
When Javier receives confirmation from Clawrence that the second wave will commence that night, he turns to Gnashton and tells him to have the team ready to move in three hours. Gnashton reaches for a radio to relay the order, setting up the assault on the safehouse that follows in "Foxhole".
S02E17 "Foxhole"
Gnashton is in the vehicle again three hours later while Javier walks the team through the floor plan and the rules of engagement, and it is Gnashton who asks what those rules are for the pack members who are not the target. He pulls the door open when the briefing ends.
During the assault on Site Two, Nick Wilde gets onto the roof and drops onto Gnashton's back from above, hooking both arms around the hyena's throat and riding the collapse to the ground. Gnashton is nearly Luther's height and has both reach and strength on the fox, but Nick keeps his weight low and refuses him the room to stand, and the hyena goes limp in about ten seconds. Nick is already moving toward the escape vehicle as Judy and Pawbert come out of the garage.
Role in the Organization
As part of Clawrence's network, Gnashton participates in:
- Surveillance operations: Tracking the pack's location
- Tactical coordination: Preparing assault teams for strikes
- Communications: Relaying orders to other operatives
Javier turns to him to pass the movement order, and he is the operative who raises rules of engagement before the assault goes in.
