"Foxhole" is the seventeenth episode of Season 2 of We Can Fix Pawbert. It is the second episode of the four-episode siege arc and ends on the season's first cliffhanger.

Synopsis

Three hours after Clawrence Lynxley's broadcast, Javier Croft's team assaults the safehouse. The pack escapes to Precinct 1, where Clawrence broadcasts a demand for Pawbert's surrender. Recognizing the demand as a decoy, Pawbert warns Bogo moments before twelve attackers breach the precinct doors.

Plot

The cold open finds Javier Croft briefing his assault team outside Site Two. Nick, on watch duty, detects the attackers by recognizing an absence of city noise—the silence before bad things happen. He wakes the pack moments before the kitchen window explodes. Luther takes down three attackers in twelve seconds while Nick engineers an escape: misdirection at the front windows draws remaining attackers while the pack escapes through the garage. Nick uses the HVAC duct he crawled during the heist and drops smoke from the roof to cover their extraction.

At Precinct 1, Clawrence Lynxley hijacks city broadcasts again, demanding Pawbert be delivered to Pier 7 by noon or he will destroy the Rainforest-Savanna weather wall junction: "Pawbert has something I need." Bogo splits resources—ZSI to the junction, ZPD surveillance at the harbor, the pack at the precinct. Luther refuses to leave Pawbert, but Nick and Pawbert convince him to go: "You'll come back." / "Always."

During the tense wait, Nick and Pawbert share dark humor—Nick calls him "the defective model" of Lynxley, and Pawbert deadpans about his attempted murder: "I missed." Pawbert grows uneasy: "It's too quiet." Working through Lynxley methodology, he realizes the harbor demand is a decoy designed to spread their resources thin. The real target is the precinct itself.

Judy spots an armadillo at the front desk wearing tactical boots—the only mammal in Zootopia who wears footwear. Nick tackles him as he reaches for a weapon, and the front doors explode inward. Twelve attackers breach the precinct in formation. The episode ends on Bogo's command: "RETURN FIRE!"
