Background
Harvey Specter is the courtroom half of Pearson Specter Litt. He enjoys being dangerous and makes no effort to hide it; where Jessica's tailoring reads as authority, his reads as a challenge.
The Lynxley family once tried to buy the firm outright, and retaliated when it declined. Harvey says so plainly when Nikki Bramble asks why PSL will not put its name on anything, and it gives the whole team a stake in the case beyond the favor that brought them in.
Personality
Harvey is confident to the point of arrogance, and the confidence is earned. He treats the courtroom as a battlefield and preparation as the only weapon worth carrying into it. What he offers a frightened witness is competence rather than comfort; his manner is direct, his humor dry, and his loyalty, once earned, absolute.
He enjoys the performance of power, but underneath the polish is a mammal who has watched the legal system destroy the unprepared. That is why he drills cross-examination technique until the witness can survive it, and why he insists that honesty by itself will not hold up under a hostile attorney.
History
Season 1: Counsel & Moot (S01E21-22)
Harvey arrives with the full Pearson Specter Litt team in S01E21 "Counsel" after Luther calls in a favor with Mike Ross. He takes over the corruption question within minutes of walking in, refusing Nikki Bramble's summary of Louis Grazella's career and demanding instead how the prosecutor works, what his style is, where he is weak. A methodical prosecutor who has gone passive in the biggest case of his life is, Harvey decides, the tell. Before the night's work starts he also measures Pawbert directly, asking whether the remorse is real or whether he is only frightened. Pawbert answers that it is both, and Harvey treats the honesty as something he can use.
In S01E22 "Moot", Harvey turns the safehouse into a mock courtroom and plays Ryshard Vale himself, crossing Pawbert, Judy, Nick, and Luther in turn while Louis Litt drills Nikki separately on objections. Each cross is built around the attack he expects the real defense to run, and with Pawbert he goes furthest. He walks him through the admissions, establishes that nobody ordered any of it, then finds the glance Pawbert throws toward Luther and forces the relationship into the open: yes or no, has he been involved with the officer assigned to protect him. From the answer he builds the picture of a witness who uses people, and pushes until Pawbert breaks.
What Pawbert does next is the point of the exercise. He reaches for the anchor phrase Dr. Fuzzby cues from the tablet, holds Harvey's eyes, and redirects to the paper trail that exists whether or not the jury likes him. Harvey drops the Vale mask and tells him that is the answer: under attack, do not defend yourself, redirect to the evidence; if the relationship comes up, do not apologize for it, own it and move on. He gives Luther the matching instruction on the stand, that neither of them look at or reach for the other, because each of them answers for himself. His last words to Pawbert before the firm leaves are to make it count.
Season 3: Worth Clawing For (S03E03)
Harvey attends the quarterly Public Defender Recognition Ceremony at City Hall alongside Mike Ross in "Worth Clawing For". During the post-ceremony reception, they approach Nikki Bramble — the public defender who represented Pawbert — with a job offer: a position at Specter Litt with complex litigation, white-collar defense, and triple her current salary.
Nikki declines: "But the mammals who need me most can't afford your billable hours." Harvey accepts the rejection with characteristic brevity: "Your loss."

Pawbert Pawthorne
Harvey's approach to Pawbert is professional and unsentimental. He tells him at the outset that PSL is not there to save him, that he is not their client, and that the firm's business is putting the right mammals in prison. What he offers instead of reassurance is a warning that Pawbert will break under the mock cross and that breaking is the point, because the skill worth having is putting yourself back together while the jury watches.
Jessica Pearson
Harvey's managing partner and the architect of PSL's legal strategy. Their professional dynamic is built on mutual respect and complementary strengths: Jessica commands the room, Harvey controls the courtroom.
Mike Ross
Harvey's associate at the firm. The two of them split the Lynxley preparation along a clean line: Harvey handles the tactical work, Mike handles the mammal at the center of it.
