Zootopia Fire Department

The Zootopia Fire Department (ZFD) provides fire suppression, emergency medical services, and rescue operations throughout Zootopia. The department operates multiple stations across the city's districts.

• Bobby Nash (grizzly bear) — Former Station 118 captain. A lab containment breach released a virus and left a single dose of antidote; Bobby gave it to Chimney, whose partner Maddie was pregnant, and died. The crew tells Nick about it six months later, at the Rainforest District fire in "Inferno"

Role in the Series

The ZFD appears primarily through Station 118 during crossover episodes:

• S01E10 — First appearance; the 118 works a fire at Perry Stackwell's office building, then hosts Pawbert and the pack for dinner at the firehouse. In the kitchen, Bobby tells Pawbert about the years he spent certain he had no right to be alive, and what he did with that once he understood dying would not undo any of it. Maddie tells her own story on the balcony afterward and presses a card into his paw
• S02E07 — Maddie takes the first call after the Tundratown-Sahara Substation bombing, and the 118 runs triage at the collapse zone alongside ZPD
• S05E16 — Station 118 responds to the Rainforest District fire attack; Bobby's death is revealed to the pack; Chimney runs the scene wearing a captain's insignia
• S05E21 — Chimney, Eddie, Buck and Hen stage with the medical units at the rear of the Reptile Ravine assault
• S05E22 — The 118 runs Luther into Zootopia General Hospital — Hen on the bag valve, Eddie ready on compressions, Buck steadying the gurney, Chimney riding it to manage the line. Hen stays with the pack in the corridor hours after her shift ends
• S05E24 — Station 118 attends the double wedding, Athena leading them in
