S02E19 - The Crown
"The Crown" is the nineteenth episode of Season 2 of We Can Fix Pawbert and features a crossover with Reacher. It serves as the climax of the siege arc and the thematic climax of the entire season.
Synopsis
Clawrence Lynxley broadcasts live from the Central Weather Interface, revealing the master override is keyed to Lynxley family voice authentication using the phrase "Lillian Lynxley." He offers Pawbert a crown over Zootopia, but Pawbert refuses: "I won't trade them for a throne made of bodies." During the rescue, Pawbert is shot in the shoulder and Javier Croft is killed by Reacher. Mayor Winddancer addresses the city, publicly reframing Pawbert's narrative.
Plot
Clawrence Lynxley reveals his plan to Pawbert: the prison attacks were tests for a breakout of Milton, Cattrick, or Kitty. When maximum security proved impenetrable, Pawbert became the backup plan. Milton keyed the weather wall master override to family voice authentication using the phrase "Lillian Lynxley"—their mother's name—and Pawbert is the only registered Lynxley Clawrence can reach.
Luther infiltrates through the ventilation system while Reacher's team breaches from the service entrance. During the broadcast, Clawrence offers Pawbert the ultimate temptation: "If you are king over Zootopia... no one will ever dare to attack you again." The city watches as Pawbert refuses: "I won't trade them for a throne made of bodies."
Luther drops from the ceiling vent. Reacher kills Javier Croft with a broken neck. Pawbert punches Clawrence and breaks free, but is shot in the shoulder. Clawrence Lynxley is arrested alive. At the hospital, Pawbert tells Luther: "I didn't say her name."
In the tag, Mayor Winddancer addresses the press: "Tonight, Pawbert Lynxley chose Zootopia over power." At Pawbert's bedside, Luther whispers: "She would be proud of you."
