"Aftermath" is the twentieth episode of Season 2 of We Can Fix Pawbert. It is the first episode of the Resolution arc that concludes the season.

Synopsis

Pawbert is discharged from the hospital and returns to the damaged safehouse. He acknowledges he must return to prison, and Luther suffers an intense emotional breakdown. Nikki Bramble arrives with unexpected hope: executive clemency is now a realistic possibility.

Plot

Pawbert wakes in the hospital to find Luther still gripping his paw: "You stayed." / "Always." Judy takes the torn green sweater to repair: "We can fix this." The pack returns to Site Two, which bears visible damage from the assault but survived—including the corkboard with all its mementos.

Parallel scenes show Milton Lynxley watching news coverage in silence and turning off the screen, while Cattrick Lynxley reflects on his choice to help Luther. At the safehouse, Corbin confirms the investigation is closed, but Pawbert acknowledges: "I'm still a convicted felon with years left on my sentence."

Luther's composure shatters: "I can't do this again... I had your blood on my paws." Pawbert holds him: "You are the strongest mammal I know. And sometimes the strongest thing you can do is feel it."

Nikki Bramble arrives with news of clemency—not a pardon, but a commutation reducing the sentence to time served plus one year. Winddancer has political incentive: his approval ratings are up fifteen points. Before leaving, she tells Pawbert: "Everyone deserves one person who fights for them. Looks like you've got four."
