Season 1

"Breach"

O'Donnell participates in the response to the hit squad attack on the safehouse at 86 Pack Street. He comes out of the van's side door at the drainage canal a beat behind Reacher, and his contribution to the standoff with Nick's drawn weapon is to confirm the vehicle is clean and point out that they are burning time. When Reacher carries Luther out of the culvert, O'Donnell has the field stretcher unfolded and waiting.

At Site Two he clears the work table Luther is about to be laid on with one unbroken sweep, papers and monitors and a mug of cold coffee going to the concrete together. He then stands at Neagley's shoulder through the resuscitation, ready to take over compressions when her arms give out, close enough to offer and careful to stop half a foot short of touching her.

Season 2

"Extraction"

O'Donnell returns with Reacher's team for the emergency extraction of Luther and Pawbert from Zootopia Correctional Facility. He reaches Luther first inside the breach, pulling a field kit from his vest and finding the knife wound by touch with his eyes still on the corridor, then cinching a pressure bandage without looking down. Assigned to cover Pawbert in the team's diamond formation, he keeps a paw on the lynx's shoulder at every turn without losing his sightline, and on the way out he plays the rough guard walking "Rook" past the inmate windows. In the transport van he cuts the makeshift dressing away and rebuilds it as the vehicle moves, prescribing stitches, antibiotics and a week of rest that Luther accepts only in part. His response to Luther shedding the "Rook" persona once the last security door seals behind them — "Creepy" — paired with Reacher's "Cute" becomes one of the extraction's lighter moments.

S02E16-19: The Siege Arc

During the weather wall tunnel attack in "The Wall", O'Donnell moves through the smoke calling routes in a voice calm enough that the wounded listen to it. He drags the Station 113 fire captain and the young firefighter shot beside him behind cover, then answers the shooters with short, disciplined bursts that keep their heads down while Reacher and Neagley break the line.

Reacher's unit is ordered to the Rainforest-Savanna junction in "Foxhole" and establishes a full perimeter there, and in "Tempest" O'Donnell runs logistics from the back of the team's parked transport, bent over a tablet mapping routes and exits. The junction is never attacked.

In "The Crown", O'Donnell breaches the Central Weather Interface service entrance with Neagley and Dixon, flanking Neagley as she takes point and pushing the main corridor to open the route to the control room. When the rest of the team goes through the door, he holds that corridor at their backs while they dismantle Clawrence's crew inside.

Season 3

"Licence to Claw"

O'Donnell returns with Reacher's team for the Canal District warehouse operation, and his share of it is the way out. Luther holds overwatch from the rooftop and runs the count; Neagley waits on the side door; O'Donnell reports the van staged and the ramp ready before anyone moves, so that when the shooting stops there is somewhere for the seized pallet to go. He is in the fight for the building as well, though nothing about him afterward advertises it — at the ZSI Field Office he sits near the door cleaning his sidearm at the unhurried pace he uses on any other night.

The only crack in that composure is aimed at Reacher, who has taken a round across the shoulder and calls it a scratch; O'Donnell observes, dryly, that a scratch like that would kill him. When the seized units turn out to be bypass nodes and Dixon reads them as somebody building access routes they should not have, O'Donnell supplies the other half of the possibility: or disabling the routes that already exist.

Season 4

"Incoming"

O'Donnell participates in a ZSI raid that ends with a building collapse, leaving Luther with three broken ribs. When Reacher's team arrives at Pawthorne Mansion to inform Pawbert, O'Donnell plays a crucial role: as Pawbert's legs give out during his panic, O'Donnell catches him and holds him through the breakdown. The gray wolf species parallel — O'Donnell and Luther are both gray wolves — provides unexpected grounding, and Pawbert clings to him as a lifeline during the worst moment of his terror. O'Donnell's warmth and steady presence demonstrate that Reacher's team can provide comfort as well as tactical capability.

Season 5: The Icener Crisis (S05E18-19, S05E21, S05E24)

O'Donnell returns with Reacher's team from Vladifrostok in "The Godfather", joining the defense of Tundratown in the north sector. During the Tundratown assault in "Tundratown Requiem", O'Donnell helps hold the north sector alongside Reacher, Neagley, and Dixon. During the final assault on The Root in "Final Position", O'Donnell operates as part of Reacher's main entry team. He attends the double wedding in "Always" as a guest alongside the rest of Reacher's team.

W-Series

In "Mawlaysia", O'Donnell tracks the compromised analyst's movements through Pawang's ground-level market district and holds the chokepoint at the transition plaza's western exit during the extraction. After putting down three sun bears in close combat, he lets the remaining three see what a wolf looks like when the social contract no longer applies — hackles raised, ears flat, teeth bared, and a snarl that vibrates in the bones of every mammal within thirty feet. The sun bears retreat. He also mentions that Luther keeps sending honeymoon photos from Pawlawan, establishing the episode's concurrent timeline.

In "Nighthowler", O'Donnell takes the right flank on the Meadowlands access road and tries the one approach nobody else on the field can. Rather than charging or flanking, he lowers his stance until his chin is on the ground, exposes his throat, flattens his hackles and holds a steady appeasement whine — the wolf-to-wolf vocabulary that runs deeper than language and that the compound was engineered to override. Luther's gaze passes across him, holds for half a second and discards him, then drives straight through him and opens a cut above his left eye. O'Donnell re-engages anyway and takes a claw through two layers of tactical vest for it. What the failure establishes is that the compound reached deeper than instinct: it is Pawbert's voice that eventually gets through. O'Donnell spends the rest of the night on the ICU corridor floor with his head wound sutured and his legs stretched across the hallway.

In "Coup", O'Donnell is part of the receiving team on the Madripaw dock after the pack completes its own overland escape from Naypyipaw. What passes between him and Luther there is specific to their species — two gray wolves acknowledging what the other has come through — because O'Donnell hit the same tropical thermal wall in Mawlaysia that Luther has just spent days fighting.
